The main airport of Hong Kong, the two runway system serves as the region's air transportation hub since its replacement for the old Kai Tak airport in the city centre, in 1998. The airport has 2 terminals and a satellite concourse, with another under construction. It was the largest terminal structure ever built in 1998, now being the third.
